A Successful OPUS 2023

Opus Tampa 2023 is a wrap! It was my first time showing at this event and hopefully not my last. The show opened at 7pm and there was a steady stream of people throughout the evening. Organizers said that in past years over 500 people have attended the event and I have no doubt that this year was any different. It was packed.

I showed 18 pieces and received a lot of great feedback. The Burrowing Owl photo, The Dark Knight (top middle in the photo to the right), caught the attention of most visitors, followed by Adoration featuring nesting Roseate Spoonbills and a recent photo of a Wilson’s Plover chick taken in St. Augustine. I sold all three of those photos. The black and white photo of a Great Egret, Least Tern vs. Ghost Crab, Eastern Bluebird, and the Red-winged Blackbird were also very popular.

A very special thanks to friends and neighbors who came to the show offering their support. I truly appreciate it. I also want to thank the organizers of the event. It was great to see and meet other artists working in other media and appreciate their fantastic work.
